The challenge of this project was to make DSV’s broad portfolio of research, breeding and seed production as well as advice to farmers more digitally tangible and easily available to the large target group of agricultural companies. The newly developed UX and UI design resulted in a website that facilitates the management of the products and also allows an intuitive use of the site by farmers and customers of DSV.

The implementation

We decided to tackle the challenge with a newly developed product information system (PIM). With this solution, DSV is now able to carry out the maintenance and management of its online products easily and quickly independently. Furthermore, we designed a contemporary and responsive corporate presentation that ensures the quick adaptation and maintenance of product information and content.

We prepared the extensive data and specific product features clearly for the editors and users. All this for the German website as well as for the seven international subsidiaries of DSV, each with their own websites and editorial teams. Across the board, we used the powerful open source software platform Pimcore. By combining PIM, DAM (Digital Asset Management) and CMS (Content Management System), you can take advantage of a unified product, data and content management system that is expandable, internationalizable, low-maintenance and scalable.
