From June 28, 2025, companies will have to make their digital offerings accessible - a legal requirement that will give millions of people unrestricted access to digital content. But accessibility brings more than just legal certainty: it improves the user experience, increases SEO and conversion rates and strengthens the brand image through active inclusion.
Accessible websites and apps make it easier for people with visual, hearing, cognitive or motor disabilities in particular to use the internet. However, users with temporary limitations, such as an injured hand or blinding sunlight on the display, also benefit from clear structures, good readability and alternative navigation paths.
The Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG) affects all companies that offer digital products or services to the general public - including public bodies, online stores, e-commerce platforms and companies with digital communication channels. Act now and implement digital accessibility at an early stage!
Relevance of accessibility for companies
SEO
Improve your SEO ranking. Accessibility and SEO go hand in hand.
Usability/UX
Accessibility helps everyone. Benefit from better usability and an excellent user experience.
Sustainability
Accessibility not only creates more participation and inclusion, but also makes an important contribution to sustainability by reducing CO2 emissions.
Economic efficiency
Accessibility increases the profitability of a company, e.g. by including a larger target group.
Our services
We check your website for digital accessibility and ensure that it complies with the WCAG guidelines and the European Accessibility Act (EAA). In a detailed report, we show you all identified barriers - from insufficient color contrasts and missing alternative texts to problems with keyboard operation. In addition, you will receive customized recommendations for action to make your website legally compliant, barrier-free and accessible for all users. This way, you not only ensure inclusion, but also secure a future-proof digital presence!
Free initial consultation
Joint discussion to determine the type and scope of the audit. In the kickoff, the pages to be tested are identified, possible counter-proposals or recommendations are discussed and the final group of pages is defined.
Audit and test phase
Once the offer has been prepared, the test is carried out by UX and accessibility experts. The defined pages are analyzed for accessibility in accordance with the specified test criteria.
Evaluation
The accessibility problems identified are assessed according to their criticality and presented with illustrative examples, descriptions of findings and recommendations for action.
Presentation of results
In the results presentation, we present the analysis results, identified barriers and recommendations. We clarify any queries and discuss the next steps to ensure a sustainable improvement in accessibility.

As required: Technical & content implementation
We support you with the actual implementation - whether it's technical optimization, adapting design, code or content. Through training and workshops, we empower your team to anchor accessibility in their everyday work in the long term.
-
As required: Review & long-term quality assurance
After implementation, we re-test all changes to ensure that the identified barriers have been eliminated. If required, we can provide proof of compliance with legal requirements. To ensure sustainable accessibility, we are also happy to support you in the long term - with regular audits, updates on new standards and continuous optimization.
Your questions - Our answers
Am I affected?
Companies that offer products or services for consumers (B2C) - e.g. online stores, banks, telecommunications providers or mobility services - are affected by the Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG).
What requirements do I have to meet?
Websites, apps, online stores, e-books or terminals must be usable for everyone - e.g. operable by keyboard, with sufficient contrast and comprehensible content. The technical basis for this are the requirements of EU standard EN 301 549 (including WCAG 2.1, Level AA). Accessible documents and documentation of the accessibility status are also mandatory.
How do you test?
We test your website, app or software against the applicable standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1, EN 301 549) - using automated tools, manual tests and assistive technologies such as screen readers. Optionally, we can also carry out tests with people with disabilities.
Who is checking me?
The market surveillance authorities of the federal states monitor compliance with the BFSG - on a random basis or following complaints.
What are the “low hanging fruits” of accessibility?
These are easy-to-implement measures that quickly bring improvements, e.g. adjusting colors, adding alt texts or optimizing keyboard navigation.
What are the consequences of non-compliance?
From June 28, 2025, many companies will have to make their digital products accessible. Companies that do not meet the requirements of the BFSG risk warnings or lawsuits. Penalties can amount to up to €100,000 and, in the worst case, the service could be shut down. What are the consequences of non-compliance?
Can I get certified with you?
No, we do not offer or endorse certifications. A certification is only a snapshot in time and can change again with every change or new feature on the website. Furthermore, there is no legal obligation for certification.
More important than a certificate is the continuous removal of barriers.
How can I integrate accessibility sustainably?
Accessibility should be incorporated into the development process at an early stage with the help of e.g. training of developers, designers and editors, regular testing with assistive technologies, automated and manual checks during development.
What do I get with Quick Review?
The Quick Review provides you with a quick, practical initial assessment of the accessibility of your website or application. Experts check key aspects for typical barriers and provide specific recommendations for action. Ideal for a quick start or to prepare for further measures.
What do I get from the audit?
The result of an accessibility audit is a comprehensive, standards-based test in accordance with BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1, in which pages and functions are systematically analyzed, documented and evaluated. You will receive a detailed audit report with specific suggestions for optimization - as a sound basis for accessible further development.
What will it cost me?
A quick review costs a flat rate of €999.
The price for an accessibility audit depends on the scope and complexity of the application to be audited and is estimated individually. Smaller audits are possible from as little as €2,880 - for example, for static pages with good code quality and low interactivity.
