Web interface for transport planning for ArcelorMittal

ArcelorMittal GmbH (AMB) asked us to develop a web interface for steel transport planning that would automate what had previously been largely manual processes.

Shortcuts to the project

Our customer ArcelorMittal GmbH asked us to develop a web interface for steel transport planning that would be tailored to their individual requirements and processes. This will enable the planning and control of transports to be gradually automated in the future. The new NewTON program combines all previously manual activities and creates transparency and standardization for all AMB transports. This reduces the personnel required for planning and loading. In the long term, NewTON will fully automate the planning and control of transports.

The project was implemented using the agile Scrum framework. Product owners and subject matter experts from transport planning were provided by AMB, while our team took on the development of the software. We worked in two-week sprints, which allowed us to regularly discuss sprint results, stakeholder feedback, and improvement measures. Daily coordination within the team took place as needed.
