In September 2024, our experts for SAP successfully added a credit card payment option to our customer HANSA-FLEX's online shop. HANSA-FLEX is a leading German industrial company in fluid technology. As a B2B company, the focus is on continuously optimizing the online offering and customer interaction in order to remain competitive in the digital marketplace. The addition of credit card payment has optimally expanded the existing range of payment options. Customers now benefit from increased flexibility and a more convenient ordering process. The project underscores our close collaboration with HANSA-FLEX, which ensured the smooth implementation of the new feature.
Focus on flexibility and security
Prior to this project, purchase on account was the only payment option available in the HANSA-FLEX online shop. In order to offer customers greater flexibility, the goal was set to initially expand the payment methods to include a credit card payment option. Implementation posed a particular challenge, as it required seamless integration and smooth interaction between the three systems involved – SAP Commerce, S/4HANA, and Unzer. We worked closely with our colleagues at HANSA-FLEX: they took responsibility for the S/4HANA integration, while we took care of the connection to the SAP Commerce Cloud.
State-of-the-art technologies were used for the technical implementation: using JAVA and JavaScript, we developed robust backend and frontend solutions that ensured smooth communication between the systems. The integration of the Unzer API also enabled the seamless processing of credit card payments while ensuring the highest security standards.
