Website relaunch for HDI.at

Following the successful relaunch of its website, HDI Versicherung AG now presents itself with a uniform corporate design.

Shortcuts to the project

Thanks to our existing collaboration with the HDI Group and the trust we have built up as a result, we were commissioned to relaunch the website, replacing the previous one. The special feature was to implement the HDI corporate design on a new technical basis. In addition to revamping the website, we optimized the search function for partners (lawyers and repair shops). The entire project had to be completed in as short a time as possible.

Our project approach

  1. Analysis

As part of the analysis, our software experts examined the current state of the database and its functionality.

  2. Requirements gathering

The team recorded all necessary functionalities and desired layout adjustments for the website.

  3. Concept

Our IT architects designed the replacement of the previous website by introducing FirstSpirit DXP as the new content management system. For the website, they chose a lean FirstSpirit architecture that generates static HTML as the appropriate technology stack. Corresponding microservices mapped the application logic and enabled seamless integration of the application into the FirstSpirit architecture.

  4. Implementation

Consulting played a particularly decisive role in the implementation of the project. Our developers and DXP experts provided support both in assessing change requests in terms of their necessity and feasibility, and in building up FirstSpirit expertise through training courses.

FirstSpirit DXP as CMS

Following its relaunch, HDI.at now presents itself as a contemporary website with a uniform HDI corporate design. With the introduction of FirstSpirit DXP as a content management system, we were able to carry out a comprehensive architecture change from PHP to Java. The slim and expandable technical basis eliminates the need for a heavy backend and benefits the performance of the website. In addition, this allowed us to keep development costs for the project low. To renew and optimize the desired partner search function, we developed a web application that replaces editorially maintained content modules. The search function also appears in the new layout of the HDI corporate design. Our goal was to develop a responsive application with intuitive operation. We were able to successfully achieve this.
