Shortcuts to the project
Motel One is a leading provider in the European budget design hotel segment with over 90 hotels and 26,000 rooms. The project aims to provide and continuously optimize a scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure for the company's e-commerce platforms. Since March 2023, we have been working closely with Motel One, using agile methods and proven technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD, and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service. The websites motel-one.com and the-cloud-one.com benefit from continuous availability, robust security, and an excellent user experience.
Technical facts about the platforms
- Security and data protection: Use of AWS Web Application Firewalls and MultiAZ setups for RDS to meet GDPR requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Deployment and management: Use of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and ArgoCD for deployment in the Kubernetes cluster according to the GitOps principle, as well as regular data backup with AWS Backup.
- Monitoring and scaling: Comprehensive monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana, as well as automatic scaling based on real-time traffic analysis to optimize platform performance and efficiency.
