Shortcuts to the project
Within a year, we implemented the booking portal with a team consisting of developers and UX experts. The development was based on TYPO3. One challenge was that there was no existing website that could serve as a model for potential tracking data or booking successes. We also needed a clear overview of all camper details. With the help of existing print material and an XML export from CMI24, as well as data from an interface on the TUI side (MDCamper), we were able to import all the data needed for display on the website. The result is a modern and user-friendly booking portal that not only enables inquiries and direct bookings, but also offers comprehensive information on travel routes and countries.
Concept and creation based on TYPO3
The booking portal was developed using TYPO3. We created the presentation and information subpages directly in the CMS. For more specific requirements, such as the IBE, we implemented corresponding TYPO3 extensions. As part of the design process, our experts carried out usability consulting and the corresponding testing. The implementation of the project also included the implementation of search engine optimization measures.
