Application Maintenance & Support for Aerospace Companies

For a global leader in space transportation, we transitioned existing applications and platforms and are continuously working on further developing and supporting the applications.

Shortcuts to the project

The task within this project was to provide application maintenance and support for a comprehensive application and platform landscape. Our goal was to ensure both ongoing support and further development of the applications. Our customer, a leading European company in the field of space technology, placed great emphasis on high application availability, minimizing disruptions to daily workflow, and providing the right tools and applications. The challenge was to seamlessly take over the existing applications and platforms and continue to develop them without impacting service operations.

Our project approach

  1. Transition plan

    To ensure a smooth transition from another service provider to us, the team developed a detailed transition plan. This involved analyzing all applications and platforms, documenting their functionality, and planning all necessary activities to ensure a seamless handover. The transition plan included: The transfer of knowledge and responsibility. Ensuring uninterrupted operation during the transition. Identifying potential risks and mitigating them. This phase laid the foundation for smooth service operation by integrating all applications into our service offering.

  2. Definition of KPIs and SLAs

    To ensure the success and quality of the service offering, the team defined key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). These were agreed upon with the customer in order to clearly communicate expectations and set measurable standards. The KPIs included: Response time: Maximum time to resolve incidents. System availability: Ensuring a minimum number of outages per year. Troubleshooting: Average time to resolve problems. By regularly monitoring and analyzing these KPIs, we were not only able to ensure compliance with the agreed SLAs, but also to continuously identify potential for improvement.

Future-proof application landscape: Stability and innovation until 2028

The project, which will continue until 2028, has already made significant progress. Thanks to a clear transition strategy and well-defined KPIs and SLAs, stable service operations have been ensured.

The combination of technological expertise, clear processes, and an innovation-oriented approach ensures that the services will continue to meet the customer's requirements in the years to come.
