Modernisierung des internen Eventmanager Tools von Robinson Club bei team neusta

Modernization of the event content system for ROBINSON

The Event Manager is a central internal tool used by Robinson Club GmbH to manage and approve events at various clubs worldwide. The aim of the project was to modernize the outdated system in order to improve user-friendliness, integrate new functions, and ensure long-term technical maintainability.

Shortcuts to the project

We implemented the project to modernize the internal event manager for our customer Robinson Club GmbH, a subsidiary of TUI. ROBINSON, the premium club brand of the TUI Group, stands for first-class club vacations in the most beautiful regions of the world. With currently 26 clubs, ROBINSON is the market leader in German-speaking countries and offers vacation experiences that combine sports, wellness, cuisine, and entertainment at the highest level. As a USP in international tourism, ROBINSON offers its customers exclusive events conducted by renowned experts. Between October 2023 and December 2024, we pursued the goal of updating the outdated event manager for event management to ensure new features, better usability, and higher performance. The result was a modern, maintainable, and expandable system with an optimized user interface and improved API integration, which makes the internal approval process and event data management significantly more efficient.

Our project approach

  1. Analysis & requirements definition:

Analysis of the existing event manager and identification of optimization potential. Definition of requirements for new functions and user groups. Use of tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation.

  2. Concept & Planning

Development of a technical concept for integrating multilingualism and role management. Architecture planning based on Symfony and PHP prototyping and UI design with React and Stimulus.

  3. Implementation

Refactoring the code to eliminate technical debt from 5 years without maintenance. Implementing new features with Symfony, PHP, JavaScript, and React. API development as authenticated JSON API deployment with Kubernetes and Helm.

  4. Go-live & further development

Go-live in October 2024. After go-live: minor further development issues until December 2024. From 2025: takeover of maintenance and service.
