This is how we developed the FördermittelNAVI
User needs as a foundation
We conducted over 50 user interviews to ensure product-market fit. A click dummy allowed real users to test the tool early on. Test campaigns helped identify the most effective sales channels—long before the product officially went live.
AI development in two parallel teams
Two specialized development teams worked in parallel: The first team was responsible for the software architecture and algorithms for detailed searches. The second team, consisting of AI experts, developed the AI quick search, the heart of the application. Both teams worked iteratively and closely together to successfully integrate the AI components.
Data security without compromise
A particular challenge was protecting the database from targeted data misuse. We refined search algorithms to deliver few but highly relevant hits, and automated monitoring detects and blocks suspicious behavior in real time.
Handover that really works
After development, we trained DSK employees in the use and maintenance of the application. The database management is designed so that the DSK team can update content independently—without access to the source code.
The FördermittelNAVI today: Live, scalable, and growing
FördermittelNAVI has been live since January 2025—and is growing steadily. Companies, municipalities, and public institutions can try out the platform with a free trial account for one month or sign up for a subscription model right away. Additional target groups and features are already in the works.
