At our company, continuing education is based on the motto “By employees, for employees.” Sharing knowledge with one another is what sets us apart. This was also the focus of the conference: 18 colleagues gave exciting presentations and workshops on topics such as IT security, communication and motivation, artificial intelligence, digital accessibility, human skills, the Internet of Things (IoT), and much more.
Among others, our colleagues Daniel Nyga and Andreas Wulfes (neusta data intelligence) opened the conference with a keynote speech on AI. They conducted a reality check on the topic of AI and concluded that we are definitely not facing a new AI winter. Our colleague Lena Kluge (neusta software development) showed how to motivate yourself and others through words. She pointed out, for example, that by paying attention and observing, anyone can give really good and appreciative feedback. One tip she gave was to say motivational words to yourself in the mirror in order to approach things more positively.

In addition, we brought in further expertise with three external speakers. Lars Roewekamp from Open Knowledge showed us various challenges that can arise when integrating AI into our own software development and provided pragmatic solutions. Trainer and agile coach Daniel Otten explained how the right habits can help you achieve your goals with ease. One lesson learned was that the first step toward a goal is the most important and also the most difficult. However, you don't have to take this step alone; you can get support from colleagues, friends, or family. Rainer Möller from Amazon Web Services concluded the event. He provided an exciting insight into Amazon Q, a generative AI assistant, and its influence on the application development process on AWS. With such an assistant, even non-developers can, for example, have code checked for sources of error.
Our conclusion: This conference impressively demonstrated the enormous expertise and creativity of our team. Strengthening our knowledge and promoting teamwork are the keys to our success.
