Bremen, March 28, 2022 – Growth despite the pandemic – that's how team neusta's past fiscal year can be summed up. Among other things, the expansion of the artificial intelligence business segment, new partnerships in the sports industry, and the addition of neusta aerospace to the group of companies had a positive impact. “We succeeded in increasing total revenue by around 20 percent compared to the previous year to approximately 144 million euros,” says Carsten Meyer-Heder, managing partner of team neusta.
“The pandemic continued to affect our day-to-day business in 2021. However, the effects were less severe overall as many industries slowly recovered. We refocused our efforts on the further development of certain business areas,” says Meyer-Heder. “This had a positive impact on the group's total revenue.”
Focus on artificial intelligence
The selection and implementation of artificial intelligence is taking place in more and more technology projects. The possible applications are diverse and optimize processes in companies or the public sector. "In order to make this potential more usable for our customers, we are focusing on this business area. In Dr. Vanessa Just, we have gained an experienced AI expert who will strategically advance the field of artificial intelligence," explains Meyer-Heder. The aim is to leverage synergies between the neusta companies, pool expertise, and strengthen visibility in the market.
Digitalization partner in the sports industry
“Last year, we entered into or extended important new partnerships in the sports industry to advance digitalization in two soccer clubs and offer fans optimal service,” summarizes Meyer-Heder. As the official digital supplier of VfL Wolfsburg, a CRM system was used to facilitate interaction with fans and partners at the B2B and B2C levels. In addition, the partnership with SV Werder Bremen is being extended. Over the next seven years, the digital group will continue to support the soccer club in its digital transformation—in particular with the relaunch of digital platforms such as WERDER.DE, the official online shop, and the web TV portal WERDER.TV.
