Bremen, January 15, 2025 – FördermittelNAVI is live: a solution that enables quick and easy searches for suitable subsidies. team neusta implemented the project together with DSK Digital GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Stadt- und Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH. FördermittelNAVI has transformed one of Germany's largest subsidy databases into a digital business model. It contains over 4,500 funding programs from the EU, federal government, states, regional funding agencies, and foundations. With the help of a comprehensive questionnaire and keyword recognition, precise hits can be achieved in a short time.
"There are numerous subsidies available, but they have different guidelines and requirements – often formulated in difficult-to-understand bureaucratic language. Keeping track of this and finding exactly the right funding for a project is a challenge. Our goal was to create a platform that offers easy access to suitable funding, saves searchers time, and maximizes the financial scope for projects. Thanks to our collaboration with team neusta, we have succeeded in doing this with FördermittelNAVI," says Frank Lösing, Managing Director of DSK Digital GmbH. Fabian Gutsche, CDO and member of the Executive Board of team neusta, adds: “We are delighted to have been able to contribute our digital expertise to FördermittelNAVI. The tool guides users directly to the right funding, including via an AI-based quick search. We have also converted the platform to a cloud-based SaaS model. Among other things, this offers greater scalability and flexibility, and the software is automatically updated on a regular basis.”
How FördermittelNAVI works
The platform offers various search options: One option is the detailed search. First, the user enters basic data about the organization for which funding is required. This results in context-dependent detailed questions. From a pool of around 11,000 questions, specific questions about project details are asked and the optimal funding is determined from the answers. This provides users with a list of results containing a comprehensive overview of the type of funding, the amount of funding, combinability, application deadlines, and other important information about suitable programs. In addition, an index search is possible: if you are looking for specific funding programs or funding providers, you can enter keywords related to the program name or abbreviation in a search field. This provides the user with a list of results matching the search entry.
A history list also allows users to save search queries and adjust them as needed. In addition, the database is constantly updated and includes around 100 changes per month, which are entered by the DSK team. Whether companies from various industries, municipalities, or other organizations—everyone can benefit from FördermittelNAVI.
The process – from idea to market readiness
The development of FördermittelNAVI took place in a structured business-building process. The team of experts at Bremer Digitalgruppe conducted over 50 user interviews to ensure product-market fit and tailor the platform closely to the needs of the target group. Users tested the tool using a click dummy and provided valuable feedback. Test campaigns also helped to identify the most effective sales channels and generate interest among the relevant target groups. After the introduction of a minimum viable product (MVP), the first customers were able to use the tool before the official launch. Interested parties now have the opportunity to get to know the platform with a free trial access for one month or to sign up for a paid subscription model.
FördermittelNAVI is being continuously developed. “Together with DSK, we want to tap into additional target groups and offer additional features to better meet the needs of the market,” says Gutsche.
