In this project, we carried out a Remote AI Design Sprint® together with colleagues from various departments at the Hotel Esplanade - including housekeeping, banqueting, accounting and management. The aim was to identify digital optimization potential in hotel operations and develop concrete applications for AI-supported solutions. The focus was on areas such as duty scheduling, onboarding, inventory and complaint management. At the same time, the aim was to improve internal processes using digital technologies and raise awareness of the added value of digital tools within the team. The main challenges here were dealing with different levels of prior digital knowledge, secure and structured implementation in a remote format and focusing on a prioritized process in order to develop practical solutions within the budget.

Mapping session
We began by jointly identifying the key challenges and potential for digital support in the areas of duty scheduling, onboarding, inventory and complaints management.

In the next step, we worked with AI Cards to develop concrete solutions and technical possibilities and make them visually tangible - always with regard to the realistic framework conditions of an individual hotel.
