Shortcuts to the project
Parallel to our implementation of the conversion from the existing Oracle Financial system to SAP, TUI commissioned us to program a stand-alone solution for flight accounting. Our task was to develop the system's import interfaces, take over project management, and support the user acceptance testing department. The core application was handled by a company in Braunschweig. This was followed by the transition of the source code with our project team.
Use of the Scrum methodology
During the development of the new solution, various interfaces were created to import customer and supplier master data as well as billing-related information from upstream systems. This enabled smooth data transfer and processing. The system was developed using the agile Scrum methodology, with work carried out in fortnightly sprints. This enabled iterative and rapid development of the project, allowing adjustments and improvements to be implemented on an ongoing basis. The project team consisted of a total of ten members, including project management, Scrum Masters, product owners, developers, and testers. This multidisciplinary collaboration helped to ensure the efficiency and quality of the development and to successfully implement the project requirements.
