Website Relaunch mit Pimcore für Rheinmetall bei team neusta

Digital platform for Rheinmetall: Website relaunch with Pimcore

We created a scalable corporate website for Rheinmetall that serves as the technical and strategic basis for the entire group and its subsidiaries. The relaunch follows the OneRheinmetall strategy and combines modern design, a flexible CMS, and maximum technical stability.

Shortcuts to the project

We supported Rheinmetall in the strategic and technical realignment of its corporate website in line with the OneRheinmetall strategy. Our goal was to create a modern, mobile-optimized platform with an easy-to-use CMS that serves as the central technical basis for the entire Rheinmetall AG and its subsidiaries. We proposed Pimcore as a holistic solution for CMS, PIM, and DAM, developed a compelling visual concept, and designed flexible approaches for language and country pages. Thanks to our interdisciplinary team, we were able to convince Rheinmetall with scalability, technical expertise, and conceptual clarity.

Our project approach

  1. Initialization

At the outset, a comprehensive requirements analysis was conducted, accompanied by the development of initial design and mock-up drafts as well as the technical concept.

  2. Technical master plan

Based on the requirements, a technical master model was developed, which served as a scalable basis for the continuous relaunch.

  3. Proof of Concept

A proof of concept was implemented for selected technical challenges in order to clarify key issues at an early stage.

  4. Implementation

The implementation was carried out in agile implementation sprints by a cross-functional team consisting of design, development, architecture, and project management.

  5. Rollout

Following the successful launch of the Group's corporate website, further company and country websites were gradually rolled out at short intervals.

  6. Operation and further development

The project transitioned seamlessly into the service and further development phase. Since then, we have been continuously supporting Rheinmetall in optimizing and expanding the platform.

Complex content, many stakeholders – a scalable solution

The project was characterized by a high degree of complexity in terms of content: a very large amount of diverse content, a wide range of product areas, and differentiated information requirements placed special demands on the concept and structure. Added to this were differing expectations between the Rheinmetall Group and its various subsidiaries, as well as sensitive public perception of the group. The large number of internal stakeholders, some with widely varying requirements, necessitated close, coordinated cooperation.
Despite these challenges, the project was successfully implemented. Customer satisfaction with the new platform is high, our team has built up comprehensive expertise, and we have advised Rheinmetall far beyond the scope of the website itself. Since the go-live, we have continued to support the customer with service, support, and further development. In April 2025, a joint workshop on annual planning for 2025 was held on site to strategically plan the next steps.
